Easter
I know this is kind of late coming but I wanted to share our Easter pictures. I had a really hard time getting pictures of my kids together. I could tell that Noah was tired and he didn't want to pose for pictures. (Natalie is not that much shorter than Noah as it shows in this picture-she is slouching and further back.)
We tried to get pictures of Grandma and Grandpa with the grandkids that were there.
Here is the best picture I got of the older grandkids.
The kids hunted Easter eggs at Mom and Dad's house. They each had a color to find.
After having lunch with the family and rehiding eggs, we went to see the other side of the family. Little did we know that there was going to be more egg hunting! This hunt was grab whatever eggs you wanted but no more than 20 (or something around there).
Grandma and Grandpa Weidner gave the kids chocolate bunnies that came with bunny ears.
We tried to get a picture of all the grandkids on this side of the family as well.

Grandma and Grandpa gave the kids trowels and gardening gloves and they set off in their Easter finery to dig in the garden.

Preschool Graduation
N2's preschool graduation was last Thursday. Here they are first day of preschool and last day.
At their graduation they had baseball hats with tassels on them. The hats said "Class of 2014." They sang an alphabet song and ended that song with a robot dance. Then they got their diplomas and their scrapbooks. Then it was time for cake. They were very proud of themselves.

Future Teenager
When we were at the library a while ago, there was a prize wheel and we got to spin for using the self checkout. Since N2 each have their own library card, they each got to spin. Natalie won headphones. I thought she would be disappointed but she was ecstatic! She couldn't wait to get home and listen to music on "her" ipod using the headphones. When we got home she grabbed "her" ipod and listened to some music and rocked out. It gave me the image of what she may look like in 7-8 years (or earlier!)

Nap time
Noah generally still naps on weekends-I wish I could get him to sleep longer in the morning so he didn't need a nap in the middle of the day but he is an early riser who tends to get a little cranky in the afternoon. Natalie on the other hand rarely naps but there are times when she falls asleep. The Saturday after we went to the Botanic Gardens was one of those days. I wasn't sure she would fall asleep but she did and this is how I found her. How on earth does someone fall asleep like this and how is it comfortable?

Dance Recital
Natalie's dance recital was today and she did an awesome job! She really tried to do all the motions to the show along with the music and other girls. The one thing she worked so hard on was finding her spot again. Clearly her ballet teacher told her about the x's that would be on stage and that they had to make sure that they stayed in their zig zags. She apparently took this to heart and she'd miss moves because she was so focused on finding her x on the stage. At one point she made the girl next to her move because she was in the spot that Natalie thought was hers (I think Natalie was right). I had tears in my eyes from laughing watching her intent on being in the right spot. I'm so proud of how she did. Here's my beautiful ballerina!
Her class danced to "Let It Go" from Frozen. Their dresses are supposed to be like Elsa's. The girls adored dancing to this song! Here are some moves from the dress rehearsal.
I don't have a video of their dance in costumes because I couldn't take both photos and video at the dress rehearsal (I don't have that many hands!) and we figured we could take video at the recital but they didn't allow video because we're getting our own dvd of the show. I do have one of their practice in the ballet room.
Here is Natalie with her ballet teacher, Miss Cari.

Botanic Gardens-Noah's view
My kids kept entertained by taking pictures with my camera while at the Botanic Gardens. I think they actually got some decent photos!
